Hi
Team!
I will
be your Digital Leader for this week. If you have any questions and/or problems
with any of the information provided, please feel free to contact me through the iLearn Message System. Or you may find other contact information in the forums, your email, or the Class Wiki.
So,
let's show Mark and Heidi how Team 1 can really rock, and get your outlines up
as quickly as you can, in order to gain followers before they follow someone
else. Good luck and happy blogging!
For those of you not in Team 1, check out our blogs. We can gladly return the favor!

According
to the Syllabus:
“We
will use this week's forum to present outlines or actual drafts of your Storify
paper on your blogs. Feel free to use hyperlinks to your Storify site instead
of posting textual outlines or drafts in your post. By sharing this information
with your teammates you will be able to conduct peer assessments of each
other's outlines or drafts, and exchange feedback that will help you improve
your final product and assessment for this assignment.”
For
your reference,
this is the Digital Paper assignment description, directly taken from the
syllabus. For assessment criteria pertaining to the Digital Paper, refer to the
Syllabus, or the attached link below:
“Students will write a
short digital paper using the application (http://storify.com/about)
to ‘curate’ your social media activities and analysis. Since this paper will be
produced digitally, there is no specific "page" length. The paper
should contain only that content necessary to describe your social media
management experience in the course. This description will require you to
explain your plans and policies for your social media activities on Blogger,
Twitter, and Pinterest; present samples of your social media posts, tweets, and
pins that illustrate how you used multiple social media channels to integrate
your work and drive traffic to your blog; and present statistical analysis of
data that describe the performance of your blog in terms of trends related to
reach (e.g., page views) and engagement (e.g., comments, retweets, share).”
Here is
the breakdown of what you will need to complete for this week.

It is encouraged that you click on the links in the above readings, in order to
gain further information beyond the syllabus. You may also want to do some
research on your own to gather additional information.
Please
Create Your Blog Post and Engage in a Team Discussion:
“By Wednesday,
post to your blogs an initial rough outline or link to a draft of your
digital paper, with any questions or comments you have about the assignment.
You may follow up on your initial post with an updated outline or draft
later in the week, but no later than Friday.” (Syllabus)
Please Remember to Do the Following:
- Choose at least four classmates to follow: two from Team 1, and two from outside of Team 1 but within Group A.
- Provide feedback in the form of constructive criticism and answers to questions for each of the classmates that you are following. To provide feedback, publish a reply to each classmate’s initial Storify post. Author's of the post should respond to their teammates' comments.
- Do not limit your feedback to positive comments. Feedback must contain a blend of praise and constructive criticism that your teammates can use to improve their papers. See the attached guidance about giving and receiving feedback. Also, remember to base your feedback on the criteria in the assessment rubric for the Storify assignment, which is also attached.
- Authors may also post revised Storify outlines or drafts if they wish to receive additional feedback. (Remember, this has to be posted no later than Friday.)
- Continue to comment and reply throughout the week and maintain an active discussion through the weekend.
- Drive traffic to your blog using your Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and Pinterest accounts. Remember to use your blogging statistics tool to track, analyze, and document the performance of your blog, as you will need this information for the final paper.
